Jennifer Haley was selected as one of nine Knight Bagehot Fellows at Columbia University this fall. The fellowship is considered the most comprehensive business journalism fellowship in the country.
Jennifer spent over ten years reporting, producing and writing about business news for CNN. Most recently Jennifer has specialized in personal finance reporting, covering everything from the spiraling costs of health care to the unraveling of the real estate market. Her reporting for CNN has taken her to the oil-slicked Gulf to piercing winters of Minnesota and more than a few late and rainy afternoons outside the Federal Courthouse.
Jennifer began her career as an intern at CNN Financial News. Previously, she worked nights and weekends for WOR-Radio 710 as an assistant desk editor, chasing local stories and producing talk-shows. Some of her best memories include sharing M&Ms with Joan Rivers.
Outside of work, her passions include anything “outdoorsy,” in tune with her Long Island roots, writing poetry and listening to traditional Irish music, a feat easily accomplished in Woodside, Queens.
